Here We Go!

Ok you guys! This time of year just about every year, I get motivated and have the urge to get in shape/lose weight. I figure this will be more successful & fun if we do it together. I was pretty late to the party on Monster Fit Club, but thought it would be a great idea for my friends and I.  I am setting up a competition on Weight Loss Wars.com. I figure all who want to be involved should give me suggestions as to parameters and prizes and whatnot.


Not everyone needs to lose weight or as much weight as others, so this site will be for reporting weekly and supporting/motivating each other. No need to divulge your weight if you do not want to. Let's just get motivated!

So here's the plan:

  • Identify what your motivation is (fitting into your skinny jeans, looking extra sexy, building muscle, maintaining, etc)
  • Determine your goal (lose 80lbs, gain some huge-ass muscles, don't get fat)
  • Check in weekly to report!
Personally, I want to lose about 17 lbs (real guesstimate there) by the end of April, most definitely more after that, but that will be my first goal. I basically want to be able to wear whatever I want while I am still young enough to get away with it, and I want to feel healthy again.

I have always gone with counting calories and exercising. Since I am injured, the exercising part is going to be difficult. I have found that the LoseIt! app on my phone really helped a lot as far as counting calories and accountability for myself.

This time, we're throwing in the element of competition because, well, who doesn't like kicking our friends' asses and maybe winning something awesome?!
